Army General (r) Félix Sanz Roldán has been secretary of State director of the National Intelligence Centre since 2009. He joined the Military Academy in 1962 and became Artillery Lieutenant in 1966. Since then, he has held several positions: deputy director general of Planning and International Relations of the Ministry of Defence, director general of Defence Policy, chief of Defence Staff and Army general. He is doctor Honoris Causa at the Alfonso X el Sabio University, Madrid, and has received numerous national and international awards. [Spain]
