Senior Vice President of the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS)
His work focuses on promoting U.S. leadership in building a more democratic and prosperous world. Prior to his position at CSIS, he held leadership positions at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the World Bank Group. He has chaired two U.S. government advisory committees and has worked in both commercial banking and investment banking. He received the Officer's Cross of the Order of Isabella the Catholic. He graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College and holds a master's degree in Public policy from Harvard University.
