He is a Partner at Hogan Lovells BSTL in Mexico D.F., where he is responsible for the areas of commercial law, foreign investment, energy, environment, real estate, foreign trade, migrations and contracts. He graduated from UNAM in 1988 and received his master’s degree from Harvard in 1990. He was a professor of commercial law at UNAM and the Iberoamerican University and is a current member of the International Bar Association, the Mexican Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He was president of the Harvard Club of Mexico until 2001, secretary-general of México Unido Contra la Delincuencia, A.C. since 2005 and, since 2014, a member of the Harvard-Mexico Foundation Council.
